Our offbeat wedding at a glance: We DIYed a few projects, and I think I was saved a lot of money that way, even though making the bouquet a little stressful. I made bombs flowers from my favorite computer game (The Legend of Zelda) me. Another indication was TLoZ us "The Wind Waker." On the center aisle to the theme song of TLoZ,
I am also contain quite proud of the bouquet I for the car, hop! My sister made the Ammer of jute and cotton wool and embroidered thistle on the cotton ones. I made all the flowers myself out of the ribbon through a tutorial on the Offbeat Bride Tribe found. Oh! And the caketoppers! The timber was rotated by hand from my sister, and Alex and I painted it ourselves.
Tell us about the ceremony: I wanted to do a handfasting, because I. to something more than just the legal part, who wanted mandatory in the Netherlands I was worried about the desire to have a Wiccan ceremony, but not the things too esoteric for some people. So we left that on the essentials (in my eyes): thanking casting a circle, calling upon the elements, pleased with the god and goddess, hand binding, cake and wine ceremony thanked the God and Goddess, and sending away the elements, and we come full circle.
As we entered the circle through the "door" represented by the broom, we let it by jumping the broom together. I loved that all that we asked bind our wrists has done so, and in this way, gave their blessing, without things getting too sentimental.
Our biggest challenge: I did not want, a receiving line. But how do you people congratulate you, the, not to mention all, and are not ready to stand above people in a queue to accommodate? During the toast, after the handfasting, I told everyone that we do not want a line, and they should just sit down, relax, enjoy a drink and we; ll come to you. I think that worked out well.
My favorite moment: It was really useful for me that Alex was ready, the handfasting ceremony in doing before all our guests. During the handfasting ceremony itself every band around our wrists connected by family or friends was married. And I love the part where my parents tied the last and worked (my mother tie the knot and my father put his finger on it, so my mother could the second to make), I think it is a great example, I hope, will be our marriage.
My funniest moment: While the legal part, our officiant only repeated what I think about why I wanted to get married, said: I ''m just so sentimental ... and Alex do not know much about them, but he did it for me. She said that this must be true love.
So while on the I do '; s, Alex was asked the question long ending: What is your response to that? And he answered: "Yes, I promise." And I thought, that's a bit more expensive, but okay, I '; ll do the same, otherwise sound too short only with "Yes". So the question to me was asked, and when I thought it was done, but said before the officiant: "What's your answer," I said, "Yes, I promise Oh no I ';.". Everyone laughed, and Alex gave me an impromptu kiss
What was the most important lesson you learned from your wedding? Take some time for yourself. I was actually planning to do this, but it didn '; t fit into the schedule. At the end I could hardly eat during dinner and I was forced to take off some time alone. I'd rather be at the moment have decided yourself, so please call me to learn and do this.

Our offbeat wedding at a glance: My father has lived in Wyoming for over 20 years. It is; s a special place for me. A year earlier we were engaged, Ben and I were not close to Yellowstone and found an outdoor chapel completely random. We wandered up to him and were amazed at its simplistic beauty. Just over a year later, beat Ben while hiking our beloved Mississippi Bluffs and we decided that it should be -. To go back to the mountains to the small chapel had we discovered together for our ceremony,
It was a very small wedding, only our closest family and friends. My sister officiated the ceremony and we wrote together. We both wore cowboy boots. I was wearing a simple lace dress and my grandmother '; s antique necklace. Ben was wearing a corduroy jacket, which he insisted we stitched elbow pads and a handmade batik tie I bought him.
After pictures and cocktail hour were over, we made it back down the mountain to the Pahaska Tepee Lodge, where a fabulous dinner and a carrot cake for dessert (Ben 's favorite) waited us , Then bundled on all and enjoyed listening to music, the fireplace, for our reception. We all have in our own private and historic huts after the closure of the bar. It was the best day I've ever had. The next day the guests visited Yellowstone Park and went horseback riding while Ben and I made it on our honeymoon cabin in Cooke City, Montana.
Tell us about the ceremony: We built our love for nature and each other in our ceremony burned sage, and even open with 3" om '; s "from the top of the mountain!
